What happens if I disagree with a pending transaction?

If you have a pending transaction with a business and the business confirms they do not need the money anymore, you can ask that they release the money back to you.  

If you think a pending transaction is incorrect or unauthorised, you cannot cancel or stop it while it is pending. A dispute can only be started once a pending transaction has been fully processed.

If you want to dispute the transaction while it is still in pending status, you will need to contact the merchant directly to raise your dispute. Alternatively, you can wait until the transaction is processed to initiate your dispute.
